Explosive Detection Canine Service

An experienced EDC Team is the most effective way to detect explosives in a myriad of environments. RMDI believes that by selecting canines with a drive to please, eagerness to work, keen sense of smell, intelligence and temperament will provide an effective resource to successfully conduct explosive detection inspections.

RMDI’s bomb dogs are single-purpose and trained to detect only explosive materials. All canines were trained under US Department of Homeland Security standards using actual live explosives which is the most effective way to conduct inspections and sniff out threats. Our EDCs are trained to detect the specific scent of a combination of explosive materials and can detect both trace materials and bulk samples. The dogs are trained to give a ‘passive-alert’ signal upon the detection of a suspicious material and will assume an immediate “sit position” adjacent to a suspected explosive substance.

Our canine detection teams are well prepared to detect explosives in active environments such as industrial facilities, loading docks, oil rigs and platforms, on shore and offshore locations, airports/heliports, vessels/ships, cargo, air/ground shipping companies, vehicles, correctional institutions, schools and institutions of higher learning, arenas or stadiums, entertainment venues, convention centers, office buildings, malls and shopping centers, transportation terminals and more.
